On July 26th President Donald Trump declared via Twitter that “[T]he United States Government will not accept or allow transgender individuals to serve in any capacity in the US military.” Outrage at the discriminatory statement was swift, with even the military pointing out that this prejudice cannot be determined by a simple Tweet. Our founder Shannon, who served over ten years in the military, spoke to local channel Fox 12 about Trump’s declaration and its implications.
