On November 6, 2015, UEC participated in a transgender educational panel at nationally-renowned Oregon Health & Science University. Medical students—the future doctors of America!—learned about LGBTQ experiences in healthcare and how to treat their LGBTQ patients with professionalism, sensitivity, and respect. We’re grateful to OHSU for committing to LGBTQ awareness and equality. UEC believes that no person should ever be afraid to seek the healthcare they need; no person should be denied healthcare because of their gender or sexual orientation.
